In 2008, at Festival America, I photographed around 20 authors, inviting them to reflect on two questions: “Which idea, thought, or image stays with you?” and “Which idea, thought, or saying has guided you through life?” The resulting work takes the form of a 6×6 analog color photomontage alongside a digital video montage, capturing both their presence and their reflections.
